About

Daniel Reisinger is a visual director with a flair for mining the comedy out of moments of pathos.

Daniel is an Australian comedy filmmaker whose award-winning advertising and music videos have had 100s of millions of views. It's been a massive few years for Daniel that's seen him shoot projects in the UK, US and Australia.

He just directed and EPed British feature ANDMRS for Universal. It was produced by Oscar-Winner Mollye Asher and BAFTA-winner Dan Hine. It stars BAFTA-winning actress Aisling Bea (Living With Yourself, This Way Up), Emmy Nominee Colin Hanks (Fargo, Dexter, King Kong), Billie Lourd (Ticket To Paradise, Book Smart), Emmy Nominee and Harriet Walter (Succession, Killing Eve).

SIDESWIPED, (which he co-created), has more than 55 million views and great reviews. Vanity Fair called it a “thoroughly modern romantic comedy” while Indiewire called it “hilarious” and “truly heartfelt.” It stars Emmy winner Jason Sudeikis, Rosanna Arquette, Carly Craig, Peter Gallagher and Thomas Lennon.

He also launched the Aussie DRUNK HISTORY, (although let’s face it, in Australia it should’ve just been called – History). It featured Rhys Darby (HBO’s Our Flag Means Death, Flight of the Conchords). It topped the ratings and was the country's number 1 trending show.

He's also set to helm AUSSIE RULES starring Isla Fisher written by Emmy winning writers Andre and Maria Jacquemetton (MAD MEN) and producers GOOD EYE DEAR and DEPTH OF FIELD (THE FAREWELL, PINOCCHIO and NICK & NORAH‘S INFINITE PLAYLIST).

His Horror/Dramedy OUR HAUNT has just received Screen Australia funding and stars Australian Academy Award winners Susie Porter and Roy Billing, as well as Logie Winner Stephen Peacocke (ME BEFORE YOU, FIVE BEDROOMS for BBC/PEACOCK).

Dan started out in news, before deciding he preferred to make comedy YouTube vids for no money. Happily, they received millions of views and he soon found himself drawn into the world of advertising. His clips and commercials have received numerous awards around the world including a Grand Effie, four Cannes Lions and a D&AD pencil. His work has received press from publications as diverse as CNBC, ABC, Wired, Fox News, The Sydney Morning Herald, Variety, Deadline, Indiewire and Ain’t It Cool News – who recently described him as; “a force to be reckoned with.”
